EVERYTHING ABOUT FOOTBALL IN BELGIUM
From finding a new club to resigning in April — the answers to the questions players, parents, coaches and clubs ask us most.
For players
How do I find a football club in Belgium?
Create a free profile, post your listing and filter by province, category, level and position. You immediately see which clubs in your region are looking for players — from the national divisions down to fourth provincial, plus youth, women's football, G-football, futsal and recreational football. Interested clubs contact you directly through the platform.
Find a clubCan I look for a new club anonymously, without my current club knowing?
Yes. In incognito mode your name and photo stay hidden: clubs only see your position, age, level and region. Your identity is revealed only once you accept a conversation, so you can look around without your coach or board hearing about it.
Is MyFootball free for players and clubs?
Yes. Creating an account, posting a listing, searching and messaging are free for players, coaches and clubs. No agent or middleman is involved — contact runs directly between player and club.
Register for freeCan I search by position, level and province?
Absolutely. You can filter by position (goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, striker or a specific shirt number), by playing level from national to provincial divisions, by age and by one or more provinces. Only the listings that genuinely fit you remain.
Start your searchWhat should I put in my listing as a player?
Be concrete: your position, your current or most recent club and level, your age, the provinces where you can play and when you are available. Mention your strengths and your ambition too. The clearer your profile, the sooner a club looking for exactly that profile gets in touch.
What do the stats (PAC, SHO, PAS, DRI, DEF, PHY) on a player profile mean?
Outfield players can optionally rate themselves on six attributes — pace, shooting, passing, dribbling, defending and physique — shown as a radar on the profile. It is a self-reported indication, not measured or verified data, and clubs read it as a first impression alongside your description.
Can my son or daughter find a youth team through MyFootball?
Yes. A separate youth category collects clubs looking for players by age group, for boys and girls alike. Parents create the profile and follow the conversations; test days and friendly matches are visible per province as well.
Browse youth listingsHow do I find a test day to train with a club?
Clubs post their test days with date, region, category and level. You browse the ones in your province, sign up with a message and simply come and train — often the fastest way to convince a club.
See all test daysCan I find a personal trainer for one-on-one football training?
Yes. The personal trainer board lists coaches offering one-on-one sessions — technique, finishing, goalkeeper training, speed, strength or rehab — by city or province, in person or online. Players can also post their own request when they are looking for a trainer.
Find a personal trainerI haven't played in years. Can I still find a team at my level?
Certainly. Alongside the competitive divisions you'll find recreational football, futsal and indoor football, and G-football for players with a disability. Plenty of teams are mainly looking for players who come for the fun and the club atmosphere.

When can I resign from my football club?
Players with amateur status, including in the higher amateur divisions, can end their registration every year between 1 and 30 April, without their club's consent. The resignation takes effect on 1 July; until 30 June you remain eligible for your club. Outside April you need your club's consent, or special circumstances for an administrative transfer.
Read the full explanationHow do I resign with the RBFA, Voetbal Vlaanderen or ACFF?
Online through the federation's resignation procedure, with your identity card or Kids-ID, a card reader and your mobile number. If that doesn't work, use the online form or send a registered letter to your club and the federation, posted by 30 April at the latest.
See the stepsWhen can I sign for a new club?
After resigning in April you can join a new club from 15 May, or sign earlier with a memo date. You are eligible from 1 July. If your registration is recorded by 31 August, you can play for the first team all season.
All the datesWhat does being a free agent mean?
Being a free agent means you are no longer tied to your club and can join another one without permission or a transfer fee. Amateurs become free by resigning in April; contract players when their contract expires.
Does an amateur club have to pay a transfer fee or training compensation?
After resigning in April you leave a Flemish club on a free: the Flemish decree bans direct training compensation between clubs. At ACFF clubs, however, the new club pays training compensation for players under 25. In professional football and for contract players, transfer fees are agreed.
How it worksWhat is the difference between an amateur player and a contract player?
An amateur player has no employment contract. With a bonus-only ‘kanscontract’ they receive at most €100 per point and €4,500 per season, without social security contributions but with withholding tax. A contract player (paid sportsperson) has a real employment contract with a statutory minimum wage.

Does my club get its own page on MyFootball?
Every registered club gets a club page with its logo, division, municipality, description and all open listings, test days and friendlies. That page is findable in Google too, so players searching for your club name immediately see which positions you need.
